Last Night....

I settled down to watch myself some Biggest Loser. I love that show! It is very rare that I actually get to watch every episode of a show during the actual season it is on. I managed to watch almost every episode this season and was very proud of myself! I'm not a big TV person and neither is Jason. We don't even have cable!

Pick up your jaw! You heard me right...

Anyway, as the late night news came on (also known as "how many people were shot in East Houston today..") I began to ponder who I wanted to vote into the finale... Amanda or Liz?

What to do? What to do?

So, as I was thinking about this- as it is a BIG decision and I know my vote will be crucial to who wins! (Right?).... I began shutting down the house for the night.

Turn off the Christmas tree, blow out the candles, feed the cats, take the dogs out... You get the idea.

It had been raining for hours and thankfully stopped right before bedtime so the dogs could relieve themselves once more before tucking in for the night. Charlie came in and I started wiping off his feet, then it was Flippy's turn. I noticed he was REALLY wet, but Charlie wasn't. As I leaned in to get at his feet, I could smell it...

Flippy was saturated in pee- head to tail! Charlie must have peed on him while they were outside. This is NOT the first time it has happened.

Needless to say, I was NOT a happy girl. By this point it was after 10:30 pm and I had to be up at 5:30 am for work.

So, I threw Flippy in the shower and gave him a bath. Not something I had been wanting to do so late in the evening. Luckily he is very good about being bathed and it was done in no time at all. I even let him snuggle up with me that night (he was still a little damp!) because I felt bad for the poor little guy.

I mean, nobody likes to get peed on!

Would you?

  1. Sorry you had to give a late night bath, but this definitely made me laugh! Poor little guy :-(

  2. That is funny...not for you, or the dog, but I definitely chuckled. Be prepared to get peed on as a momma too!

And we had no cable for a really long time...then after a particularly bad winter where we couldn't really go outside, we got the cheapest satellite plan available...which was actually cheaper than cable. I still mostly watch shows that aren't "on cable" though...oddly enough.

  3. Don't worry, I don't have cable either! Actually I don't even have my TV set up for basic channels since I don't have one of those digital converter boxes. I watch everything online these days.

  4. NO WAY!!!

I was without cable for like 32 hours and I was FREAKING OUT!!! In Cleveland, we had NO cable and it wasnt a big deal...then I moved to Texas and everything changed. The kids would be terrors with out the Disney Channel.....

I agree, get prepared to be peed on, boy or girl. You would think by the FOURTH, I would kind of know what I was doing but for about 3 days, everytime I changed Jonah he peed on me, the couch, his face.... and he wasnt a newborn anymore, this was like at 3 months!!! :)

    Miss you girl.
