Zoo Boo

A few weeks ago Aidan and I headed to the Houston Zoo for their annual Zoo Boo festivities. Since we had a Zoo pass, our admission was free, and I thought it'd be fun to go along with some friends!

The kids were all dressed up in their Halloween costumes! We had Charlie Brown, Mr. Spider and Miss Ladybug.
Do you know how hard it is to get 3 kids under the age of 1 to sit still and look at the camera at the same time? Pretty darn hard!

They had a little pumpkin patch that we took the kids to. They each got to choose a pumpkin and then decorate it. Aidan loved playing in the pumpkins!

We also looked at all of the animals. The favorite of the day were the meerkats. There were quite a few babies and they were adorable!

Miss Ladybug, the only walking baby, really enjoyed the petting zoo!

We had a wonderful time at the Zoo with our friends! We ended up spending almost 6 hours there... the kids were in great spirits and really enjoyed themselves!

In case you're wondering, I made Aidan's Charlie Brown shirt. It was super easy! I bought a white t-shirt, gold dye and black felt from Hobby Lobby, all for about $6. I dyed the shirt, cut out the Charlie Brown stripe from the felt and used my glue gun to attach it to the shirt. It's all ready been through the wash 3 times and is still looking great! I was really happy with the results. Especially since I saw the same shirt for sale online for $26!!

  1. It looks like y'all had so much fun! I keep forgetting about the zoo- I've never been in all the years I've lived here, but now we have a great reason to go. I bet James would get a kick out of it.

I'd love to know what you thought of this post! Leave your comments here. Thanks for visiting! :)
