This Mama is still feeling a bit under the weather... but I'll survive.
Jason was wonderful and came home from work early yesterday to hang out with Aidan so that I could stay in bed, sleep and read magazines.
I haven't really been eating much, which makes me a little nervous. You see, this morning I have my glucose test at my OB's and I'm afraid I may not be able to keep that nasty, syrupy, orange stuff down. I guess we'll find out!
Update: I didn't get to the doctor this morning. Lucky me spent the night running back and forth from our bed to the toilet. Good times. Jason ran out to the store to get me some "sick tummy" stuff and is then taking Aidan to a friend's house for the day so that I can rest. I am so thankful for all of the wonderful people in my life. :)
Anyway, since I don't feel like writing a real post today, I thought I'd entertain you with some of Mama M's 5QF questions! Yay!
1. Do you apologize to your kids?
Well, I don't think I've ever gotten mad enough at Aidan to where I'd have to apologize to him... There have been times though that I've knocked him over by mistake when he's been right under me and I didn't know. Then, I ALWAYS apologize!
2. What color are your nails right now?
The fingernails are au naturale and the toe nails are hot pink. I am planning on getting a mani/pedi with a fellow preggo friend this weekend. I'm really looking forward to that... it's been WAY too long!
3. When you were growing up, how difficult was it for you to stay home from school sick? (As in, did you have to vomit or just say "I don't feel good".)
Honestly? Pretty difficult. My Mom is a nurse. So yea... But, when I was sick, I was really sick! When I was younger (think before Junior High) I hated to miss school. I would get upset if I had to stay at home and miss out on learning. As I got older, I didn't mind as much. Until I got to college, then I'd pretty much always go to class, even if I felt like death.
4. When is the last time you bought a new comforter for your bed?
Hmmm... Not sure. It's probably been a few years. We don't really have a "comforter" anyway. It's a quilt. A comforter in Texas would be pretty ridiculous. Today it was 98 degrees, no comforter needed!
5. Favorite website(s)?
I'm not sure if I have a favorite website, but there are definitely those that I use daily:
Facebook- not as much these days though
Wikipedia- so informative!
IMDb- I like to keep up on my movie/celebrity/TV info!
Meetup.com- I am the Organizer of my Mom's Group and it's the site we use to connect
That's all folks. Here's hoping I feel better soon.
Have a great weekend,
