Today has been a hard day on my body. I'm achy in all of the wrong places, a little sunburned on my shoulders and mentally and physically exhausted.
Aidan and I went swimming earlier with some friends. He had the time of his life! He loved getting in and out of the pool, over and over and over and over.... Once he was on the pool deck he would "dance" for everybody, then get back in the water. If he wasn't dancing, he was running around shouting with delight as his little friend, J, chased after him in copycat fashion. They were a riot!
Once we got home, I laid him and myself down for some much needed nap time. Except, I couldn't really nap. It seems that insomnia is my new best friend. I really don't know when I last had a decent night's sleep. These long, sleepless nights are really starting to take their toll on my ever-growing body.
It also seems that Baby Number Two is on a mission to cause me as much discomfort as possible. I still have 15 weeks left to go and I hope that they're not all full of uncomfortable days like I've had today.
I love being pregnant. I do. I'm that woman who usually has NO pregnancy symptoms, atleast none to seriously complain about. But, when your 25 week-in-utero baby has all ready discovered the joys of jamming their foot into your ribcage and kicking as hard as possible, it's difficult to not complain just a little bit.
That and the fact that I think I'm getting Braxton-Hicks contractions will definitely make for some uncomfortable days ahead.Oh, and today my nausea was awful. Great.
In other news, it looks like we have found renters for our Ohio rental. Jason and I are really excited and are hoping that they will be moving in on the first of July. If all goes well, we'll know for sure by the beginning of next week.
There have also been a lot of changes happening in our little house down here in Texas. Painting, dry wall removal, and hopefully the installation of beadboard soon. Our house is a bit of a disaster area right now, which is really stressing me out, but I know that it'll be worth it once we're all finished with our home improvements. I can't wait to share our house's "new look" with y'all!
Well, it's getting close to bedtime and I want to try to get some shut eye before my body magically wakes up at 3 am. You're jealous, aren't you?
