Tuesday Afternoon Babbles

It's creeping up on four o'clock and I'm ready for bed. This Mama is exhausted.

We've been away for the past two weeks visiting family in Ohio. (Hence my lack of posting. I did write a few posts to be published while we were gone, but not enough to fill the entire two week trip.)

We finally pulled into our driveway last night around 6:30pm. After a long plane ride (Aidan's worst one to date, by far!) and a confusing adventure trying to locate our car in the parking garage, we had to fight rush hour traffic to make it back to our little house.

Our visit was great. Just the right length of time. Not like our three week visit over Christmas that pushed me to the brink. Three weeks is way too long to visit anybody. Even those closest to your heart. I'll post more about our trip later this week.

So here we are. Aidan decided that 6 am would be a fabulous time to wake up this morning. I thought otherwise. We've run a bunch of errands and even caught a movie with some friends (Kung Fu Panda 2, in case you're wondering. Very cute.). And now it's time for a nap. For both of us. Although,  I think the little guy might need some convincing.

One of the great things about coming home is sleeping in your bed. With your own pillows. Pure bliss.

One of the bad things about coming home is realizing the things that should have been done/you forgot to do before you left.... like, say, leaving leftovers in the fridge that now stink to high heaven. And having to bleach your fridge as a result, just to get the smell  out. Oh, and leaving your car unlocked and sitting in the driveway the entire time you were gone. I mean, who would do such things??? (Raises hand slowly... guilty!)

I'm blaming it on the preggo brain. I can't help it! I swear!

Well, I'm off to lay Aidan down for a bit of a nap. Wish me luck!

Until tomorrow....

~Emily
