Something dawned on me today.
I'm going to have another baby.
SOON!
Perhaps I should start preparing for my newest arrival, right?
According to my weekly babycenter.com update, I should have my bags packed, birth plan written, childcare lined up, frozen meals stocked in the freezer, pet sitters at the ready, and just sit back and wait for those contractions to start.
Okay.... so.... let's take a look at that...
Bags packed? Nope. Although I did buy the baby's going home outfit this weekend. Yay me!
Birth plan written? Ha ha! My three-page plan that I spent months researching for Aidan's birth was never even taken out of my bag while I was in labor. So much for that!
Childcare lined up? Yep. But, she's in Canada until mid-August. Let's hope this baby doesn't make an early appearance, or else Aidan may be accompanying us to Labor and Delivery. Nothing like a troublemaking toddler to make your birthing experience memorable.
Frozen meals stocked in the fridge? Do frozen Weight Watchers single dinners and a few pints of Blue Bell ice cream count? Didn't think so...
Pet sitters? Huh?
Needless to say I've got to get to gettin' around here. We've just been SOO busy lately. And I keep telling myself that I have all this time. Unfortunately time passes rather quickly, and I'm running out of it.
Fast.
I still have a lot of things I need to order, from a new crib mattress to a replacement motor for my breast pump.
This week I'm really going to, hopefully, get all of my ducks in a row. I have a list of things to order and preparations to make... I've just been kind of avoiding it.
Am I in denial? I'll get back to you on that one...
So, you have my word, Girl Scouts honor and all of that jazz, that this week I
will prepare for baby's impending arrival!
I promise.
After I eat some ice cream, take Aidan to see the new Winnie the Pooh movie and spray paint a few things....

LOVED the Winnie the Pooh movie! And just order frozen meals from Schwanns. They have yummy cinnamon rolls and lasagna.
ReplyDeleteA lot to do but I think you will be able to get it done.
ReplyDeleteThe ice cream and the new Winnie the Pooh movie sound like a good start to it!
