A DIY Christmas

Ever since having Connor I have completely abandoned my creative outlets. I've just felt uninspired and, frankly, too exhausted in the evenings to really start or finish any projects.

But, the upcoming holiday season has changed my tune a bit. I've been listening to Christmas music, sipping on pumpkin spice lattes (even though I'm wearing shorts and it's 80 degrees outside), and browsing the plethora of catalogs making their way into my mailbox everyday.

I'm so excited to decorate for Christmas this year!

At the end of last season I gave away the majority of my decorations to a former member of my Mom's group who didn't have the money to purchase any for her home. Which leaves me with

So this year I'm starting fresh! And I really want to do something fun, colorful, creative and homemade for my boys.

I'm thinking paper, fabric and lots of fun DIY projects!.

Here's some inspiration I've found from two of my favorite kid-friendly catalogs:

The Land of Nod

My Silhouette will be getting a lot of use in the upcoming weeks.

Are you starting to think about Christmas? Will any new decorations make their way into your house this year?

  1. I don't know if any new decorations will make it into our house this year. But I love our advent calendar and it would be easy to make. It's a felt tree with 24 buttons on it. Buy some mini ornaments and hang one up each day. It's my favorite thing.

I'd love to know what you thought of this post! Leave your comments here. Thanks for visiting! :)
