Our Wedding {Before we said "I Do"}

I know you've been waiting for it...

Right!! (Humor me, okay?)

Anyway, here they are... the obligatory wedding posts! I figured I would divide them up, or else you all may go comatose staring at your computer screens for an hour viewing the photo bomb that would be one wedding post.

So, we'll start with what happened before the big moment!

My sister, Elizabeth (who was also my Maid of Honor and only attendant), and I went and got our hair and make up done in the morning. The salon opened up just for us on Sunday. They were amazing! If you ever get married up at Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio, I highly recommend Styling on Broadway. I cannot say enough about how warm, funny and wonderful these ladies were. :)

We both had gotten spray tans a few days before the wedding and they didn't disappoint. Nobody wants to be the pasty chick in the wedding photos. Am I right?

Afterward, it was back to our Honeymoon Suite to get ready. My Mom, two sisters, sister-in-law, two flower girls and my friend, Jamie, were all in the room with me. There were a few bottles of wine and champagne floating around and the atmosphere was very fun and relaxed.

I absolutely LOVED my dress. Houston ladies, if you are looking to get married, please, PLEASE go and check out The Marry Go Round. It's a consignment wedding dress store, although almost all of their dresses are new. And they're name brand, and seriously marked down. Most of them were leftovers from trunk shows. It was wedding dress heaven. Tangent done.

My dress was from the Pronovias Fashion House label, Atelier Diagonal. It. Was. Gorgeous.

My Mom was so excited to help me get ready. I'm so glad that my Uncle was in town to keep my Grandma company so that my Mom was able to spend this special time with me. :)

Something must've been pretty darn funny!

Mom and Maureen zipping up my dress.

I opted out of wearing heels for something a little more comfortable and more my style. My feet didn't hurt at all!

 The sweetest flower girls ever!

Elizabeth's dress is from J. Crew. I wanted something that looked great on her and that she would realistically wear again. This fit the bill perfectly!

My wonderful Mother lent me her pearls for my "something borrowed."

With my flower girls.

One of the things Jason loves about me- I am always laughing or have a smile on my face.

Deep breath... Here we go!

Feel free to stop by tomorrow and check out my Ceremony pictures!

  1. They are stunning, sweetie! :) I love every single thing you picked out.

  2. Beautiful photos! Looks like you created a wedding that matches your personality. I wore flip flops too! Can't wait to see more.
