There have been many variations of this easy corkboard jewelry holder all over Pinterest and the blogosphere. I decided it was high time I jumped on the band wagon and made one.
This was probably one of the easiest projects I've ever done. And it only cost me $5! Holla!
All I did was attach a yard of fabric from the scrap bin at Hobby Lobby to a framed corkboard that I found at Goodwill. Initially I used my staple gun, but quickly realized I was low on staples. (Guess who's going to Lowe's this weekend? This girl!)
So, I improvised and used my glue gun to finish attaching the fabric. Just be sure to pull tight and secure it with glue on the back. Easy peasy.
Then I took some white push pins that I all ready had and pushed them in around the edges of where the frame had hit the corkboard. And... that was it!
Next, it was time to hang up all of my necklaces. This part actually took longer than making the holder itself. Ha ha! I used turquoise push pins that I all ready had (Target, I believe) as my hangers.
What are y'all up to this weekend? Aidan has his FIRST baseball game tomorrow morning, so hopefully he enjoys himself and it doesn't rain! Then, we're off to a birthday party in the afternoon and in the evening we're attending our friends annual Crawfish Boil. It should be a busy, but fun day! I think Sunday we'll just take it easy and have a pajama day. :)
Have you made one of these jewelry holders yet? What are you up to this weekend?
